A community-run service caring for Double Bay children
Established in May 2000, Double Bay Out of School Hours Care Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit, parent-managed service operating on the grounds of Double Bay Public School in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
For more than two decades, we have provided trusted before school, after school and vacation care for local primary-aged children. Our service is approved under the National Quality Framework and supports families through the Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy.
As a community organisation, every decision we make is centred on the wellbeing of the children in our care and the needs of our local families. We are proud to be a familiar face for generations of Double Bay families.
Children come first. We provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment where every child feels welcome, valued and listened to.
Out of school hours should be relaxed and fun. We balance free play, creativity, sport and quiet time so children can unwind and enjoy themselves.
We welcome children and families from all backgrounds. Every child is encouraged to participate, make friends and feel a sense of belonging.
As a parent-run, community-based service, we work hand in hand with families, the school and local community to support children's growth.
Our experienced educators deliver programs guided by the My Time, Our Place framework, supporting children's social, emotional and creative development.
Care should be available to all who need it. We support families by offering Child Care Subsidy eligible fees and assisting financially disadvantaged families.
Double Bay OOSH is here for the children and families of our local community, providing reliable care that complements their school day and home life.
We care for primary school-aged children, giving them age-appropriate activities, time with friends and trusted adults outside of school hours.
From dual-income households to single-parent families, we support working parents and carers by providing dependable care they can plan around.
We are committed to making care accessible. Eligible families receive the Child Care Subsidy and we work with families experiencing financial hardship.
A relaxed morning routine with breakfast, quiet games and a smooth, supervised walk into school for the day ahead.
Afternoon tea, free play, sports, arts and crafts, board games and homework support in a friendly, age-appropriate environment.
Themed school holiday programs filled with excursions, incursions, creative projects and outdoor adventures.
We communicate openly with parents and carers, encouraging family input into our programs and welcoming feedback all year round.
