We are writing to advise of a fee increase to take effect from the commencement of term 2, 2017. DBOOSH is a not-for-profit service and we aim to keep fees reasonable for families but need to simultaneously meet the costs of running the service.
Over the past 18 months, costs for operating the service have gradually increased and it is necessary now to meet these increased costs through a general fee increase. These increases are primarily due to increases in staff wages and general increases in food requirements, essential subscriptions and incursion and excursion costs.
From term 2 the following rates will apply;
Before school care $13.50 permanent and $16.00 casual ( $6.75/ 8.00 with rebate)
After school care $20.00 permanent and $23.00 casual ( $10/ 11.50 with rebate)
Vacation care $60.00 per day with $55.00 for early bird bookings ( $27.50/30 with rebate)
These fees are the full fee and do not include the reductions available to families through the Australian Government.
DBOOSH is a registered service. Accordingly, families using this service are eligible for the Child Care rebate. All government rebates will still apply to all eligible families and this can result in up to 85% discount in fees. A 50% rebate on all our fees applies to all Australian residents who are registered for the child care rebate and is not means tested. Further reductions are available based on your combined family income and this is assessed through Centrelink.
We appreciate your understanding and should these increases pose a significant financial hardship we urge you to make contact with your local Centrelink office to ensure you are receiving all your eligible child care rebates for your income level.
